Vinyl Pool Liners and Liner Colours

Every liner pool we build or reline gets a made-to-measure vinyl liner, and the colour is your choice. We are the local agent for Aqua-Tech, who make our liners from Aqualux vinyl, and their full range of colours is below.

Liners Made to Measure

A vinyl liner is the waterproof skin of a liner pool, and it is also the colour and pattern you see through the water. Aqua-Tech make each liner to the measurements of the pool, in New Zealand and Australia, from Aqualux vinyl.

According to Aqua-Tech, the liner is a flexible membrane that takes up small ground movement and is designed to resist cracking, chipping and peeling, and its surface is UV-stabilised and algae-inhibiting. They put the typical lifespan at 15 to 25 years or more, when the liner is installed properly and the water chemistry is kept right. A liner can be made for steps, deep ends and benches, and it suits a new liner pool as well as relining a concrete, fibreglass or above-ground pool. The colours come in three groups. Each card shows the liner itself and a pool finished in that colour. The swatches and pool photographs are Aqua-Tech's, used with their permission; they show the colours, not pools we have built. For our own work, see the gallery.

Choosing Your Colour

Colours on a screen are only a guide, and the same liner looks different in full sun, in shade and under water. Ask to see the samples, and look at them in daylight before you make a final choice.

A darker liner makes the water look deeper and bluer, and a lighter liner gives bright, clear aqua water. To see how a colour looks with your coping and paving, try it in our pool visualiser, which has every colour on this page.
